If you haven’t heard of it, or seen the success we’ve had in the past, you may have fears or concerns about trying this procedure. We’ve compiled a few of the most frequently asked questions about Permanent Makeup and Microblading. Permanent Makeup is a cosmetic tattoo. This is done by implanting pigment into the Dermis Layer of the skin using a tool similar to a tattoo machine. We perform this service primarily to give you the illusion of eyebrows and eyeliner.
Since it’s a tattoo you’re getting, some pain may be involved. Topical anesthetic is used for all the procedures, which eliminates most of the discomfort. A secondary anesthetic can also be used if you still have discomfort during the procedure. Some discomfort is expected due to varying tolerance and/or resistance to anesthetics.
On average Permanent Makeup lasts 1-7 years, and Microblading lasts 2-3 years. Results vary by client depending upon tanning bed usage, sun expose, and products such as toners, moisturizers, and cleansers that contain glycolic acids. Permanent Makeup by Design, LLC offers a maintenance program to enhance and prolong the natural beauty of your makeup procedure.
